What do the terms like "bald", "shaved", "facial" etc. mean?
I noticed something's wrong or missing. How can I submit corrections?
Simple enough. You can use the shiny new "Submit Corrections" form found on our movie and performer pages. Your submission goes into a queue and our team of editors takes it from there.
If we have a missing movie, find one of the performers in the movie, and submit a correction with the info on the missing movie.
How can I add information about a new performer?
We are a MOVIE database, so we need movie details on things the performer has been in. Once we have that, we can fill in performer details, but we don't tend to create performer profiles without corresponding movie titles or web scenes. (At the moment, we mostly track info from the big web studios - BangBros, Blacked, Brazzers, Kink, NaughtyAmerica, RealityKings - tho you'll see some niche stuff around too.)
To add a new title, go to a performer's page who is in the movie, click Submit Corrections and then add all the details on the movie and the performer(s) we don't list.
In terms of new talent, you may send a pretty girl headshot to and let us know the copyright info and how the photo should be credited.
Also, the following info would be great to include about the performer:
In terms of the titles they appear in, the more information about them you can provide the better, as the longer it takes us to research a title, the longer it might take to get the performer listed.
How can I help add new titles?
If you want to add information on a title we do not list, please go to the page of any performer in the movie, and give us all the relevant info via that performer's "submit corrections" button. The way we look at it, you're correcting that performer's filmography by eliminating omissions.
The more information about the movie you can provide the better, as the longer it takes us to research a title, the longer it might take to get the movie listed.
I don't do porn anymore! How can I be removed from your site?
This is an increasingly common question with a difficult answer.
We're the leading authority on adult films and the people who star in them. We compile factual information about adult films and, by extension, the performers who appear in them.
It's not our policy to to remove profiles that we know are accurate. If there are movies you didn't appear in that are listed, we are more than happy to make those corrections.
If the years active is incorrect by more than a year, let us know and we can adjust the titles that were released after you left the business.
The sad fact of the matter is this: removing a profile from our site won't actually accomplish anything. If you've made it our site, then you've made it to the rest of the internet, and there's no putting that toothpaste back in the tube.
There is a very good chance that your movies are still being sold on the open market and can be bought or streamed pretty easily, so removing the profile from our site only hurts us and doesn't do anything to prevent your porn past from being found.
It is our position that not doing adult movies in the first place is the way to avoid these kinds of issues; but since that horse has left the barn, the best thing to do is own it, make it so the information available on our site and myriad others can't hurt you, and live your life with your family with this chapter behind you and closed.
The exception to this rule is when it comes to real names. We're not interested in linking your real name to your porn name, so if your real name appears on the site, we will remove it (assuming we know what your real name is). However, if your real name appeared on a boxcover due to a mix up in the Art Department, there's little we can do about that.
If we've cropped a picture you own -- ownership is a pretty specific thing and it usually rests with photographers -- and used it as a headshot and you want it removed, just use the "Submit Corrections" button on the page the picture appears and we'll swap it out with something else. Likewise, if the credit on the picture is incorrect, please let us know that as well.
Why don't you have biographical info on some stars? Even big famous ones?
Primarily, we're a MOVIE database, not a PERFORMER database. (We are the Internet Adult FILM Database, after all...) So the editorial team focuses on adding movies to the database's ever increasing appetite, which means we don't have the time or inclination to go trawling for heights and weights and the like because we're focussing on adding titles. A-B-C. A. Always, B. Be, C.Creating-Titles
Performer info comes along for the ride, so to speak. If it's there in the movies, it has a chance of getting listed depending on the thoroughness of the working editor. If it's submitted by a fan of the performer and the working editor trusts the submitter, it gets listed. If it's published by someone else, it might get added -- we are skeptical of user generated sites since anyone can submit anything to them regardless of accuracy and then it becomes "fact". Otherwise, no data.
Why aren't there any naked pictures along with the filmographies?
While we're working on adding to our gallery of perfomrer headshots, we're not going to be posting galleries anytime soon.
Posting actual pictures opens us up to a litany of regulations from the US Government. We would need to maintain offices where John Law could stop by, whenever they wanted, and check our records. And since they can check records, that means we'd have to keep records. Meticulous records. Failure to keep the records correctly could result in 5 years in the Federal Pen... and, as much as it pains me to say it, posting nudie pictures aren't worth that to us.
But, we're trying to do the next best thing and provide you with off-site links to galleries of your favorite performers. If you like what you see, perhaps you might sign up for a membership to a site, and doing so helps keep this site running.
You can keep track of our galleries by visiting our New Galleries page. We're adding new galleries every day, so check back often.
Where can I buy these movies?
We have entered into partnerships with some of the Net's leading retailers to bring you information close to home.
If a partner of ours carries a movie you're interested in, you'll see it listed along with its price on the movie page. Clicking on the link will bring you to the vendor's site, where you will complete the transaction.
The proskyway.ru does not sell any movies directly. We will merely point you to someone who does.
Every effort is made to ensure that the movie linked to is the correct movie, but you should still do your best to verify this with the vendor. We can't be held reponsible for any mistakes in incorrect links into our partners' catalogs.
Every effort is made to make sure the pricing information is correct. We get the pricing information nightly from the vendors, but you should double check the pricing at the vendor's site.
If the movie page does not have a link to a retailer on it, try searching on the movie name in the "vendor titles" catalog. There's a chance we haven't catalogued the movie yet, so while it doesn't appear on the main page, it is in our database of over 90,000 items.
If that fails, you can try the outfits recommended by the readers of rec.arts.movies.erotca by looking at one of these lists: , or or this more recent .
So you sell the movies?
No, we have nothing to do with the sale or distribution of movies. That's between you and your vendor. We can try and help sort out problems with your vendor should they arise, but we're not responsible for them, and at the end of the day: caveat emptor.
Can you tell me who this is? [picture attached]
And please don't send us pictures. We love hearing from folks, but our mailboxes are full enough without pictures attached. By using a public forum like ADT or VEF, you're reaching a far wider audience you have a better chance of (a) finding someone who knows and (b) finding someone with the time to help. Unfortunately, there are not enough hours in the day for us to keep the site running, do our jobs and answer the volumes of e-mail we receive asking these types of questions. So, we focus on the issues and e-mails that point out things that are wrong or broken and work on fixing them, as well as adding new functionality to the site.
We'd prefer you contact the good people who hang out at for help. You can post non-explicit photos there, and someone will most likely try to help you.

We're not a helpdesk for porno -- our website aims to be, but we personally cannot be. It pains us to say that, but things have grown rapidly since we started and we're not quite able to keep up as much as we'd like... so we focus on the issues and e-mails that point out things that are wrong or broken and work on fixing them, as well as adding new functionality to the site.
Can you tell me what movie this is?
Again, we suggest you contact the good people in for help. There's a ton more people over there with far more specialized knowledge than we on the other end of the email@example.com address have.
For older titles, you might want to check out or the group on Facebook

Why can't I find this movie/performer?
Sounds like you might be in need of our searching tips.
Whatever happened to [performer X]?
Beats us. We don't have anything to do with the adult film industry beyond being fans, so we aren't up on all the latest comings and goings of your favorite stars past and present.
Your best bet would be to ask in .
The short stock answer is "they left the business to try and fade back into mainstream society. They prefer to 'not look back'"
You can also check the for the more notable persons
I have a site -- how can I use your info on my site?
The magic lies in RSS.
We don't have all of our info available via RSS yet, but that day probably isn't too far off. We need to balance user desire, developer time, and not giving away the farm. We have a bunch of feeds already that you can subscribe to and use that info on your site.
How to integrate those feeds are beyond the scope of this FAQ, but with most things, the answer can be found in
However, scraping our pages to use our data elsewhere is a violation of our terms of service, so we ask that you respect that.
How do you calculate the Years Active field? Something seems fishy, it says this person worked after they were dead...
It's pretty basic... we take the dates of first the earliest film in the performer's career to the latest non-compilation film in the performer's career.
It gets a little tricky when we have a date of death. Under normal circumstances, the server can tell what year someone dies, and it cam make sure that the years active does not go past that date... Issues arise when our dates aren't definitive and the server can't figure out the year. When that happens, the server doesn't even try to guess what we mean, it just gives up and we hope that it does't create an issue.
For example, recently, Nancee Kelly's Years Active were marked as 1991-1993. Since she died in 1991, an astute visitor sensed something was wrong. In this case, we only had "November 1991" marked as the date of death, which wasn't enough for the server to go on (it likes full dates; tho we can manually override this shortcoming). Once we changed her deate of death to "November 17, 1991" it all snapped into place...
Conversely, this calculation may say people started working later than they did. If we don't have any info on a movie that came out in the year they started working, then we'll be understating their starting year.
There's an error! Who do I tell?
No matter what kind of error you're experiencing, please report it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you want to forward along any sort of correction, please include the URL of the page you are trying to correct. It makes updating things much easier. (Also, we make every effort to verify updates before placing them into the database, so please don't be offended if it takes sme time before your updates make it to the web.)
If you have a website/database error of some sort, please make sure you include the following things:
How can I tell if two performers worked together?
Under each perfomer's vital stats there is a searching box for you to enter the name of the other performer you are interested in. The resulting list will show you movies in which the two stars have scenes together. However, since we only have scene information on a little more than 50% of the films in the database, we also give you movies which the two stars both appear in the credits, even tho they may not have scene together, just so you can check it out for yourself.
How do you guys make money?
We get paid by sponsors for ad banners, and we get an affiliate commission from products purchased via our site. So, if you want to support us - buy a movie or a membership from our advertisers. Suffice it to say, we haven't quit our day jobs. (But we'd like to!)
Why do you do give this all away for free?
A: Because we're still of the mind that information should be handy and free.
B: Stupidity, probably... but mostly because it is useful and people like it.
